ACES Jackpot ECU
A more advanced ACES EFI unit with expanded I/O and tuning capability. Well-suited for higher-performance builds requiring more control over fueling, ignition, and auxiliary outputs.
-
✓
ACES Killshot
A high-performance ACES EFI unit built for aggressive street and race applications requiring precise fuel and ignition control at high power levels.
-
✓
ACES Wildcard
A versatile ACES EFI system with broad engine compatibility. Popular in builds that need flexible configuration options across a range of naturally aspirated and forced induction setups.
-
✓
ACES Joker
An ACES EFI unit designed for performance street and strip builds. Provides solid fuel and ignition control in a straightforward package suited for both LS and traditional V8 applications.
Common Engines Supported
-
LS Engines
Gen III and Gen IV LS platforms. ACES EFI systems are commonly used in LS swap builds as a standalone alternative to the factory PCM.
-
Small Block Chevy
SBC 350, 383 stroker, and other small block builds converting from carburetion or upgrading to a standalone EFI system.
-
Big Block Chevy
454, 496, and larger BBC combinations where the ACES EFI system provides the fuel control needed for high-displacement performance applications.
ACES EFI Tuning Services
From initial startup setup through full drivability and performance calibration, these are the tuning services available for ACES EFI systems.
Startup Configuration
Getting the ACES EFI system running correctly from a fresh install. Includes base calibration setup, injector configuration, sensor scaling, and first-start parameters so the engine starts cleanly the first time.
- Base calibration setup
- Injector flow rate configuration
- Sensor scaling and setup
- Initial fuel and ignition tables
Idle & Cold Start Tuning
Dialing in the everyday driving experience. Cold start enrichment, warm idle stability, and throttle tip-in refinement for a clean-driving street vehicle.
- Cold start fuel enrichment
- Idle speed and stability tuning
- Throttle response and tip-in
- Part-throttle cruise fueling
Performance Tuning
Full-throttle fueling and ignition timing calibration for maximum safe power on your specific fuel and engine combination.
- Wide-open throttle fuel table refinement
- Ignition timing optimization
- AFR targeting across the RPM range
- Data log review and tune revisions
Common Issues We Fix
These are the most frequent ACES EFI calibration problems that can be resolved through targeted tune adjustments.
Startup Issues & Stalling
Hard hot or cold starts and engines that start then immediately stall are almost always a cranking enrichment or prime pulse issue. Correct prime shot volume, after-start enrichment decay, and base fuel pressure settings resolve the majority of startup complaints.
Rough Idle
An unstable or rough idle typically points to incorrect idle fuel targets, base timing, or idle airflow settings. On cammed engines, additional idle spark advance and airflow adjustments are needed to hold a stable idle that a stock-style calibration cannot provide.
Incorrect AFR & Throttle Response
Inaccurate fueling causes incorrect air/fuel ratios that hurt power and can damage the engine over time. Poor throttle response and tip-in stumbles are typically an accel enrichment issue that can be corrected with data log analysis and targeted fuel table changes.
Why Tune Your ACES EFI System?
A properly calibrated ACES EFI system performs significantly better than one running a generic or out-of-box base map. These are the areas that improve most with a good tune.
Correct fueling and ignition calibration prevents lean conditions, detonation, and other issues that cause long-term engine damage.
Dialed-in accel enrichment and transient fueling eliminate tip-in stumbles and make the throttle feel crisp and predictable.
A properly tuned idle holds target RPM cleanly in gear, at operating temperature, and during A/C load without hunting or stalling.
Accurate part-throttle and cruise fueling keeps the engine running at target AFR without running unnecessarily rich, improving fuel consumption at normal driving loads.
Optimized wide-open throttle fueling and ignition timing unlock the full potential of the engine combination on your specific fuel type.
Tuning Support Options
ACES EFI tuning is available remotely or in-person for customers in the Longview, Texas area.
Startup Calibration
A starting calibration built from your build specs before the engine is run for the first time. Reduces the number of revisions needed to get the engine running correctly and helps prevent damage from an incorrect out-of-box map on the first start.
Remote Tuning Support
Send your ACES EFI log files and current calibration file. Tune revisions are returned electronically. Works for customers anywhere in the country and is the most practical option for most street and swap builds.
Drivability Optimization
A complete log-based calibration refinement cycle covering idle, cold start, part-throttle, cruise, and wide-open throttle. Delivered as a complete tune file revision with multiple log-and-revise passes until the vehicle drives cleanly.
